2. REGISTRATION FEES

Registration fees are structured by registration tiers. Once a tier fills up, the price moves to the next bracket.

PRICE TIERS

Maximum number of participants per race:

  LEGEND: 350

  HALF: 450

  EXPLORER: 200

Additional Fee:
Participants without a valid mountain sports federation license (FBME) must pay an additional €7 for day insurance.

Free Registration:

  Participants aged 65 or older who are residents of Calvià are entitled to free registration for the event. To activate this, they must send an email to eventsice@calvia.com with their full name and a photo of their ID. They will receive a free registration code via email.

  Participants with a recognized disability of 33% or higher are eligible for a 50% discount. Email eventsice@calvia.com with your full name, contact number, and supporting documentation. You will receive a discount code via email.

3. WHO CAN PARTICIPATE IN GT26

The race is open to anyone who registers, as long as they:

Meet the minimum age requirement:

• LEGEND (+43K): 24 years and older
  HALF (+23K): 21 years and older
  EXPLORER (+12K): 19 years and older

Accept the participation terms (participant agreement) and the rules of the Balearic Federation of Mountaineering and Climbing.

Have a physical condition suitable for this type of challenge.

5. CANCELLATION POLICY (REFUNDS, CHANGES, TRANSFERS)

5.1 – CANCELLATION & REFUND OPTIONS

If a participant cannot attend due to unforeseen circumstances, the refund policy is as follows:

Complete the required form to request a cancellation and refund.

5.2 – DEFERRALS TO NEXT YEAR

If a participant cannot attend due to serious reasons (injury, family emergency, work-related travel, etc.), they may defer their registration to the following year by February 23, 2026. No deferrals will be accepted after this date.

Valid reasons include: work travel, injury, pregnancy, serious family issues. Official documentation must be provided (e.g. medical certificate).

Fill out the official form to request a deferral.

5.3 – BIB TRANSFER TO ANOTHER PERSON

You can transfer your registration to another person until January 31, 2026.

Email eventsice@calvia.com with the subject line “BIB TRANSFER GT26” and provide:

•       Your full name, email, ID/passport number, and phone
•       The new participant’s full name, email, ID/passport number, and phone
  

5.4 – DISTANCE CHANGES

Participants may switch to another distance if bibs are available.

• Switching to a shorter distance: No refund of the price difference, and no extra fee will be charged.
  
• Switching to a longer distance: You must pay the difference between the current price of the new race and what you originally paid. No additional fees will be charged.
  

To request a distance change, email eventsice@calvia.com with the subject “DISTANCE CHANGE GT26” and include your name, ID/passport number, contact details, and the distance you wish to change to.

6. CATEGORIES, RESULTS & PRIZES

Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female overall finishers in each race.

In the HALF and LEGEND events, only the first male and female finishers in each age group will receive awards.

The EXPLORER distance remains with a single absolute category and its corresponding trophies.

Winners must be present at the awards ceremony to claim their prizes.

Age groups are determined as of December 31 of the race year.

7. TIMING POINTS & CUT-OFF TIMES

Timing checkpoints will be placed along the route.
 Participants must wear the timing chip provided by the official platform https://elitechip.net/. Failure to wear the chip may result in disqualification.

Maximum time to complete GALATZÓ LEGEND: 9.5 hours (8:30 AM to 6:00 PM)

Non-eliminatory time cut points (LEGEND):

• 12:45 PM – Pas de na Sabatera (km 22.4), before the Galatzó summit climb
• 3:30 PM – GR221 crossing with Ses Planes (km 33)
  

Participants who don’t reach these points on time will not be ranked ahead of those who completed the full course. If their final time is faster than the last full finisher, 1 minute will be added to that time. They will be considered finishers of the distance they actually completed.

Official race cut-off: 6:00 PM. Anyone not finishing by this time will be disqualified.

The organization reserves the right to modify cut-off times or shorten the course in case of adverse weather conditions. Any changes will be communicated via the website, race briefings, or official channels.

GALATZÓ HALF (23 km)
 Start: 10:00 AM – Plaça de Sa Vinya, Es Capdellà
 No cut-off points are established, as the route overlaps with LEGEND.

GALATZÓ EXPLORER (12.4 km)
 Start: 10:30 AM – Plaça de Sa Vinya, Es Capdellà
